I love a variety of making—painting, collage, and artists books. Experiments, exploring media, and following trains of thought make me happy. The most interesting work comes when I least expect it.
For me, life is a pilgrimage and so is painting. When I paint, I travel from a literal place to the geography of my mind and imagination, a landscape of imagined color and abstracted shapes.
I studied art and bookbinding at the Corcoran School of Art, Pyramid Atlantic, Penland School of Craft, Paper and Book Intensive, and the Art League School in Alexandria, Virginia.
